The Steelers strong safety, Troy Polamalu, is well known as a ‘cerebral’ player who was named the MVP player for this season by his fellow players. For those not in the know, what is a ‘cerebral’ player? He is the one not only using his muscles, but also using his head in playing the game.
I spotted another one in yesterday Steelers-Ravens game (see photo, credit to Observer-Reporter, Washington, PA). With 3:58 to play tying at 24:24 in the fourth quarter, the Big Ben threw a daring 58-yard pass to the rookie wide receiver, Antonio Brown (easily the rookie of the year), who used his helmet/‘head’ to steady the ball. The catch set up the game-winning touchdown, beating the Ravens 31 to 24. Mission accomplished.
