An amazing, simple act of medicine: a letter-to-the-editor from Nathan Romesburg

This letter-to-the-editor is from our neighbor ‘boy’ whom we watched him growing up.  He is an amazing writer; his mother can attest to it.  He took his mom to a poetry reading session on her campus visit when he was in college.

The doctor who had “an amazing, simple act of medicine” is apparently not a fictional character.  Sir William Osler once said, “The practice of medicine is an art, not a trade; a calling, not a business; a calling in which your heart will be exercised equally with your head.”  Once the task is beyond the reach of the science in medicine, humanity is the only thing we can offer.

The Label of “letter-to-the-editor” in this blog is the collection of my letters.  I did take the liberty of putting those of our family friends here to increase the breadth and depth of this section and to make it more appealing.

The following is Harry’s letter-to-the-editor at Observer-Reporter today (March 30, 2011).  Reading the letter one can easily tell that the insightful expert opined his ways to attack the drug problem.

This is a letter-to-the-editor published at Observer-Reporter on Nov. 30, written by Nathan Romesburg, a grandson of our neighbor, Mrs. Greenlee.  A cliché though it may be, I still like to say we watched him grow up.  Congratulations! Nate!

It is well written making his points clear and forceful; reading it one cannot help but agree with him.
