Bambi came to visit our garden 班比來看我們的花園

Bambi came to visit while we're working in the garden this afternoon.  He took a peek at our garden and liked what he saw and kept watching.  For several times did he walk to the gate, hoping we would open the gate for the visitor; we should have set up a door bell.

We are hoping Bambi will not be the only one  wishing to see our garden.  When you do we're hoping you'll enjoy as much as Bambi did.

今天下午我們在花園/菜園工作時, 班比來拜訪。他看了我們的花園，很中意；一看再看；幾度走到花園的門來，希望我們會給訪客開門.  也許我們應該設立一個門鈴，

希望班比不是惟一想來看我們的花園的; 若你們來, 希望你們會跟 Bambi 同樣的喜歡..

The red shoes 紅鞋

老虎隊之旅結束後，文煥海溩還捨不得離開賭城, 我不知道他們什麼時候回來, 不過, 我知道他們把吃飯的錢輸光了或買包包買光了, 就會乖乖的回來。

我不知道海溩有沒有把這雙 Red Shoes 買回來，若沒有的話, 這裡還有一雙, 會另人遐思的一雙。這雙更配合海溩的紅色小包包。

Hans Christian Anderson 著名的 fairy tale, The Red Shoes, 算是 classic.  馬克吐溫說 a literary classic is “people praise and don’t read” (大家讚美，但是不讀古典文學作品）。如果 Anderson 的 「紅鞋」用這張相片來做封面，相信讀者會增加的。若用海溩站在紅鞋上面的相片做封面的話，那一定變成𣈱銷書，New York Times Best Sellers 的了。

輸得快樂, 誰說花錢不能買快樂？

你們要趕快看海溩手中拿著一大把鈔票 (the first and second photo)，因為一轉眼就不見了.

看大家笑嘻嘻，其實都輸光了，誰說花錢不能買快樂？這些吃角子的老虎真的吃定了我們這些「老虎」。真是虎落平陽被吃角子老虎欺.

歡樂時光, Never a dull moment on the bus ride

六月八日 Katy posted 世英/如玉帶我們去 China Town 義美冠軍吃飯的相片，其後14 天都沒有人 posted 老虎隊之旅的相片了。我想大家都聽世瑞的話, 採取行動在策劃下次的老虎隊之旅了：「大家要用這個正能量 . . . . . 不是只有期昐，還是有所行動，讓期待變成具體的日期」

When Tom speaks, everyone listens (大家都聽陳世瑞的話), Lily 也聽的, 只是她保留否決權而已。

我的任務是 to extend, if not enhance, your enjoyment of the trip.  出發前我已快讀完 Kazuo Ishiguro 的 The Remains of the Day, 我想坐巴士時可以讀完，結果還是沒有讀完。

原因是巴士的時間都是歡樂時光；there was never a dull moment on the bus ride。 這當然要歸功於我們的康樂部部長: Lily 及她的 back up singer: 賈敏如.

Lily 主持節目台風穩健：substance and style, 兩者得兼。連談起養生也頭頭是道.  Lily 和 Minru Chia 領導大家唱歌，她們的熱情是 infectious，連我這個一首歌也不會唱的人也哼了幾句，唱得對不對是另外一回事.  不過 也害我沒把小説讀完。

Lily 說她長大後變聰明了， 我看不是如此： 不是聰明玲琍的小女孩怎麼能想出「欲擒故縱， 以退為進」的策略 去擒拿 Tom 呢。

是否聰明是跟數學好不好沒關係的。我看余英武是靠數學吃飯的，但是他為了教 Lily 一個簡單的雞兔數學問題想了整個晚上， 一夜沒睡好；你們看他有比 Lily 聰明嗎? (要在背後説英武的壞話，現在正是時候，他目前在上海，不能使用 LINE).

就此打住，要不然 Eric Ma 又要説我的 post 像老太婆的包腳布，又臭又長。

Beauty in the making

The other day I showed some of the photos here to our daughters; one said “beautiful”; the other said, “it is beautiful and will become more beautiful in days to come.”  I think they are just being too nice.  My way of saying “beauty in the making” is it is not beautiful yet, but there is a potential to become beautiful.  And it will as gardening is a way of showing you believe in tomorrow.

Less than one quarter of the space in the garden is allocated for flowers, the rest are for vines and vegetables; they will make the debut when they are ready.
