Seven Spanish Angels by Ray Charles (and Willie Nelson)

I still recall vividly the day when Ray Charles died on June 10, 2004, I wrote in “Letters to my daughters” (which has since evolved into Dr. Tsai’s Blog), “Today the music died when Ray Charles passed away.”  Charles sang many songs with Willie Nelson about whom I am not particularly crazy.  Their “Georgia on my mind” has since become the state song of Georgia.

Their “Seven Spanish Angels” is my favorite.  It is beautiful and touching, even though it is a love story of a Mexican outlaw and his last battle; we hear terms of violence, such as “the valley of the gun” and “rifles”,
