Lincoln issued preliminary Emancipation Proclamation today 150 years ago
150 years ago today,
September 22, 1862, Lincoln issued the preliminary Emancipation
Proclamation. There is a piece of op-ed article
at the Wall Street Journal today commemorating this event.
