A wasted life? Nay, 大器晚成 (We are just late bloomers)

前些曰子我說這些 marigolds have a wasted life 因爲她們不開花, 他們聽了很不爽, 很不高興. 一氣之下她們也開始開花了, 她們說她們只是大器晚成而巳.

(The other day I made a post saying these marigolds have a wasted life; they’re not happy about it and began to bloom showing their displeasure.  They said they are just late bloomers.

I have previously mentioned that Joy’s marigolds withered on the sidewalks of her last apartment.  She went back nearly six weeks later and found the marigolds were alive and well.  Joy, they may be just late bloomers; it may not be your want of a green thumb.
