Happy Doctor’s Day, Maimonides

The Jewish philosopher, Maimonides, was born today (March 30) in 1135.  He was also a physician.  Many of his sayings about medicine are still quite relevant nearly 1000 years later, such as “The physician should not treat the disease but the patient who is suffering from it.”

It is quite fitting that Doctor’s Day happens to be the birthday of a great physician.
