It was indeed a less well known fact; many physicians
couldn’t believe it when I said it at Sermo then. Some researched it and told me much more
about how that happened. At Sermo if one
tells something few know, one ends up learning more.

George Washington and smallpox vaccine
An article in today (March 5) JAMA Dermatology saying George
Washington advocated smallpox vaccine and was a public health activist. I had a letter-to-the-editor talking about
this that was published at the Observer-Reporter exactly five years ago today
(March 5, 2010).
