Gore Vidal remembered

Gore Vidal passed away yesterday (July 31).  I discovered him a few years ago and read his two memoirs (Point to Point Navigation and Palimpsest); of the 20 some novels that he wrote, I only read his Lincoln. (I have read it more than half way through and dropped it when the garden season began.)  I said I wouldn’t read it in a post in my blog.  But, I have since picked it up and like it.

The photo is from the New York Times showing Gore Vidal and JFK in 1960.  Gore Vidal’s parents divorced and his mother later married stepfather of Jacqueline Kennedy.
