Garden diary (詩園日記): Section 5N—August 3, 2012

This is Section 5N, greeting you when you come in through Shakespeare Gate.  It is basically a flower garden other than a few tomatoes.  Zinnias and marigolds dominate this section, although salvia and cilosa have resided in this section early on.  Salvias have seen their best days and zinnias haven’t been in full bloom yet.  Jo can claim the credit working on the marigolds in this section when she was home in late June.  I bet she can no longer recognize it.  One can see “Merry Go Round” (Emily Dickinson called marigold merry gold, I extend it to “merry gold round”).

These photos are arranged in reverse chronologically from June 21 to August 3.
