Water spinach (空心菜): to Jo with love

One of our fellow gardeners in Pittsburgh has a daughter living nearby. Their daughter came home to harvest the produce every so often and they always let Katy know when that happened. And that is our envy; nothing more gratifying than having our daughters share the produce in the garden. Our daughters are far away in Michigan and Boston; they can only enjoy our garden from the distance.
Knowing Jo and family may be coming home in early August a few weeks ago, we almost got “panic”, as water spinach (空心菜) may will have “declined and fallen” by that time. And water spinach is Jo and Sean’s favorite. It dawned on me one day that we can re-plant by using the branches. These photos show water spinach in various stage of growth and we’ll be ready for Jo and Sean whenever they come home.
