A victory lap: the script of a good game
No one can write the script of a good game better
than a game playing out on its own. The
hilarious come from behind win of Pittsburgh Pirates against Miami Marlins
tonight is another example. Pittsburgh Pirates trailed 0 to 3 at the top of 3rd inning and tied 3
to 3 at the bottom of 8th inning, the bases are loaded and nobody
out for the Pirates and yet the Bucs came out empty (Alvarez was struck out
followed by a double play to end the inning).
What a disappointment! I thought this was an ominous sign that Pirates
will lose the game. Then Pirates’ Josh
Harrison had a walk-off homer at the bottom of the 9th inning; a
much more dramatic ending; a climax of
the game. The photo shows how Harrison
reacted to the homer while running around the bases (a victory lap).
