Germinating the seeds and the microsurgery task

The way Katy ferments the seed is that she soaks the seeds and put them on a paper towel wrapped inside a plastic bag.  I was asked to transplant these tomatoes (which come from a distinguished family, not your ordinary tomato Joe) once they pop out of the seeds (spout).

This delicate procedure is not an easy task, even using a surgical clamp.  I wish Dr. Cheng-Jung Lin (林承弘醫師) would teach me a thing or two about the plastic and reconstructive microsurgery when he was in Pittsburgh, especially the time when he and his family came back to visit with us after he moved to Johns Hopkins.  He has since returned to Chang Gung Memorial Hospital (長更醫院).
